Sarah White, a certified substance
abuse counselor for 25 years, established Transitions in 1991 and it is today one of the longest operating and best known providers of counseling and psychological services in Bermuda. Sarah began her work in the area of addictions and substance abuse utilizing a 12 step approach, and this philosophy
continues to guide Transitions today. Sarah assists clients across a wide range of issues involving addictive and compulsive behaviors from drug and alcohol
problems to gambling and sex addictions and codependency, as well as associated familial and emotional problems. She also ulilizes psychodrama as a method of opening deeper levels of self-awareness by bypassing defensive systems. Sarah has a special interest in the use of spirituality in her work with her clients. She has received a certificate in transpersonal psychology from ITP in Palo Alto, CA., which takes a holistic approach to psychotherapy, valuing input from
mind, body, and spirit in order to heal the whole person.
